-The sun is setting; let's watch the twilit sky, shall we?

Princesses and peasants, illness and truth, sunlight and twilight, optimism and pessimism, birth and rebirth. These are the feelings of our faithful companion, Doctor Whooves. After having witnessed the coronation of Twilight Sparkle, he fears that Twilight may not be prepared for the future. He has watched Twilight from afar since day one, and begins to realize what impact she may have had on his life.

There's only two hours before she arrives back home. Follow Doctor Whooves on his self-reflection to understand the new era that is arriving. And maybe, put yourself in Whooves' shoes to better understand the perspective of ourselves...-

Another fanfiction, this time with a character I've been meaning to write with for a long time: Doctor Whooves.

FUN FACT: This is, actually, my response to the whole "Alicorn Twilight" controversy; read between the lines, you'll see it in there. But if you can't, I think that we shouldn't judge the premise without giving the production team a chance. I mean, Season 4 is confirmed; there could be some solid episodes built off of Twilight being a princess. Or not, I don't know. The point is that I have the benefit of the doubt; I loved the episode and how it was played out! Sure, it's a big change, but so was learning about Shining Armor, and introducing a whole other princess, and creating a whole other kingdom. They're expanding the universe of the show, and who knows? Maybe something will happen to stop Twilight from being an alicorn. We don't know that yet; so now, we play the waiting game...

If you've read this, it has nothing to do with hentai. Plus, just because it involves MLP doesn't make it inherently good or bad. The content speaks for itself, and apparently, it's good content.

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

Wow... I'm sorry for not reading this sooner! I gotta say, this is pretty interesting! The point of view is one thing; a background pony. Instead of one of the mane six, Spike, or a Princess, this is coming from the humble yet most favored background pony, Dr. Whooves. I liked the way you characterized him in this as being nothing like the actual Doctor (because we all know that Dr. Whooves is NOT The Doctor). I have two favorite parts in this story: the story of Dr. Whooves' cutie mark and the extended metaphor comparing life to a grain of sand. I loved the little anecdote about how he got his cutie mark; it really explains the cutie mark well, and was also a very touching story. Not to mention, it did help with Whooves' reflection about how he really doesn't hate Twilight. The reason why I liked the metaphor is because it simply makes so much sense, and not on just a MLP fanfic level, but on a life level, if you get what I'm saying. I just think that it's easily applicable to daily life, and that's what makes this piece so interesting! Some of the lessons reflected here can be applied to real life, at least, in my opinion. I just really love this story, and it makes me want to watch the actual episode now. 83 Excellent work, Hawkeye.
